Unusual Vaginal Bleeding

In most cases, the first noticeable symptom of cervical cancer is unusual vaginal bleeding. While it is possible to occur after having sex, however, bleeding at any time other than your regular monthly period should be considered unusual.

Vaginal bleeding may also occur in postmenopausal women. According to the National Institutes of health, this can be a major warning sign of cervical cancer. It does not necessarily mean that you have cervical cancer, but you should still see your doctor for the symptoms to be evaluated.
