Watch What You Eat
We all know that choosing healthy foods is one of the most important parts of taking care of our overall health. For diabetics, The American Diabetes Association says that you should concentrate on making healthy food choices like choosing fruits, fresh vegetables, and whole grains. Try picking out fresh rather than frozen or canned fruits and vegetables because they’re usually healthier.
When choosing meats, pick out the leanest cuts and consider more chicken or turkey as opposed to pork or beef. Stock your pantry with whole grain pasta, brown rice and crackers. When you shop, buy whole grain cereals, breads and cereals and forget about sodas, sugary foods and other snack foods.
