Quinoa Is A Whole Grain
Quinoa is a whole grain, which comes with many health perks. “Wholegrain” denotes grain which hasn’t been milled or refined – like white pasta, white rice, or white bread.
Consequently, quinoa belongs to the family of complex carbohydrates, which are vastly more beneficial than “simple carbs”: a study conducted by the Harvard School of Public Health has shown that the type of carbohydrates actually matters more than the amount of it that we ingest.
It gives a longer impression of fullness, too: enough so that NASA have talked about making quinoa the go-to food for long space missions.
