Brand new for 2026, the monthly baking challenge from Baking with Granny.
Welcome to Baking with…YOU! – the monthly Baking with Granny bake-along challenge. Each month, we will bake a recipe that you might not have tried before, and celebrate those bakes that deserve to be passed on.
The concept is simple…
Bake it, review it, share your photo – and you could win a prize!
This month, it is a £50 Amazon voucher and a signed copy of Scottish Bakes!
Simple, fun, and perfect for getting everyone in the kitchen.

How it Works?
On the first of each month, I will share what recipe will be our challenge recipe. You can also sign up below to receive an email alert as soon as the month’s challenge is posted.
To take part, all you have to do is:
- Bake the challenge recipe: Simply bake the challenge recipe anytime during that month.
- Leave a review of the recipe on the Baking with Granny website: Be sure to leave a review by 5:00 pm GMT on the last day of the month.
- Submit a photo of your bake: Your photo (or bake!) doesn’t need to be perfect – just an honest photo of the final results. Bake’s only please, as I would like to share the winner’s photo and having people in the picture can complicate things, in terms of consent to share.
- And the winner is…: At the end of the month, a winner will be selected at random from all valid entries. And then we do it all again with a new recipe next month.

Enter Now!
First, make your Fudge Slice and take a photo.
Then, head on over to the Viennese Whirls recipe post and leave a (honest!) review.
Once you’ve done that, click the “submit your entry” button below, enter your details in the form, and upload your photo.
And that’s you officially entered!
Upon accessing the entry form, you will be asked to log in to a Google account. This is part of the photo-sharing process and is a normal step, and unfortunately, cannot be avoided. If this hinders your ability to enter, please email me at [email protected]

Baking with…YOU! is a monthly bake-along challenge hosted by Amy Reid of Baking with Granny. Each month, I choose one recipe for everyone to bake at home. You simply bake the recipe, leave a review on the blog, and upload a photo of your bake to be entered into the monthly prize draw. It’s a fun, community-driven way to try recipes you might not have baked before, and a great way to get the entire family involved. Oh, and there is a winner each month too – because who doesn’t love a bit of competition??
Anyone can take part in Baking with…YOU!. The challenge is open to bakers of all ages and skill levels, and to participants worldwide. However, you must be over 18 to submit your entry, so if you are under 18, you’ll need to ask a parent to help with this part.
Not at all! The challenge is designed for everyone, whether you’re a confident baker or just getting started. You should focus is on enjoying the process, trying something new, and having fun in the kitchen – not perfection. And the winner is chosen at random, not by who was the best baker.
One winner is chosen at random at the end of each month from all valid entries.
The winner will be announced on the launch of the next months challenge (so the day after closing), and contacted by email – so please make sure you use the correct email address! The winner will also be shared on Facebook and Instagram. Failure to claim your prize within 48 hours will result in a redraw and an alternative winner being selected.
Yes! I have purposely made this a challenge that is accessible to those who are not on social media. As long as you bake the recipe, leave a review, and upload a photo via the entry form, your entry counts. You will however need a Google account to complete the entry form; if this hinders your ability to enter, please email me at [email protected]
Your photo may be featured on the Baking with Granny website or social media channels to celebrate and promote Baking with…YOU!, always with credit given to you. By submitting a photo, you’re giving permission for it to be shared for this purpose.
You must be over 18 to enter (entries from those under 18 is fine but you will need an adult to submit your entry). Baking with…YOU! is open to entries worldwide, unless otherwise stated.
